Motorcycle-powered cars, scrap or store
Nissan Leaf vs Citroen 2CV
Hi friends, hope you had a lovely start to the month!
Some of you have indicated that the Monday’s format may be getting old.
To be fair, it has been 8 weeks.
I’m adding a poll below so you can vote if we should axe it soon.
And just be honest, you won’t hurt my feelings.
I want to create the best content for you so feedback is my oxygen.
So please vote 🙏
I personally like the format because:
I love quirky cars and innovation
The cars are usually pretty rare
But at the end of the day - it’s more important what you like.
So you decide 👌
Scrap or Store
the Engine-Swap faceoff
Results from last week are out.
Here’s what we had:
And you guys chose to keep the Cadillac and scrap the Plymouth.
And it seems like most of you have a similar taste here!
I was a bit surprised, didn’t think the battle would be so one sided 😅
Alright, done with the recap.
Onto today’s battle
Today we have 2 cars with motorcycle engines.
That’s one of my favourite type of swaps just because of how weird the combos get 😆
2013 AWD Nissan Leaf
vs
1980 Citroën 2CV
Let’s start with the Nissan Leaf, it has a fascinating story!
The car itself developed a battery issue which only allowed it 25miles of range.
#useless
The motorcycle, a Kawasaki zx10r, had a joyful life of street racing in California before it got into its final wreck.
155hp
^ The chassis was a writeoff but the engine thankfully worked.
So we now have 2 somewhat working vehicles so somebody decided to combine them into a hybrid!
Coming home late at night and don’t want to wake up the neigbhours?
You go into electric mode of the Nissan.
Finally at the twisty roads and want to have some fun?
Fire up the motorcycle engine.
Anyway, here are some photos
the Nissan Leaf
This thing revs to 13 000 RPM, insane (video below).
And if you want to hear the full story of the car - here’s a youtube video.

The Citroen doesn’t have a crazy story, unfortunately.
But here are some photos
And here’s what’s under the body
The thing is BONKERS! Here’s how it sounds on track
Anyway, let’s vote and see what you’re sending to the scrapyard 💀
The specs:
Sooo
You’ll see the results next Monday!
