of Chocolate

Trucks Continue to be Americaās
Best Selling Vehicles
Strength. Freedom. Adventure.
These are just a few words that symbolize American trucks.
Of the 5.6 million vehicles bought last year, the top 3 were ICE trucks, signifying Americaās love affair with these gargantuan vehicles.
Rather ironically, the fifth-most sold vehicle was an EV - the Tesla Model Y.
Ironic because EVs and ICE trucks are on extreme ends of the āenvironmentally friendlyā spectrum.
I wonder if this will change in the near future with the upcoming laws that will make EVs mandatory.
On the other hand, EV trucks donāt seem to be catching on that well, with Ford cutting down production of its F-150 Lightning.
AirTags to the rescue
Have you heard of AirTags?
They cost $30 and are devices by Apple that you can use to track your belongings.
Well, a man from Toronto had his car stolen. He successfully tracked it in Dubai using AirTags (full story below)

Age has no limits when it
comes to love for cars
Weāve seen those videos of senior citizens making poor driving decisions.
Some may even argue that licenses of older people need to be revoked.
But not for Sonja M. Heiniger.
She turns 83 years old (or should I say young) this yearā¦and she frequently drives her Huracan STS and 911 GT3 RS - on the track!!!
And from the looks of it, she appears to be going flat out.

This could have easily been avoided had the driver not continued to drive off the ramp š¤¦āāļø
2/ California police ram fleeing Prius into an innocent bystander

1/ Herts selling their EV fleet and replacing them with ICE Cars
20,000 EVs.
Thatās how many rental car company Hertz is selling off.
The reason?
The higher repair cost of EVs.
āExpenses related to collision and damage, primarily associated with EVs, remained high in the quarter, thereby supporting the companyās decision to initiate the material reduction in the EV fleetā
It does raise an interesting question.
EVs are praised for their low maintenance costs, but does that get offset by their more expensive repair costs? š¤
Last year, Sixt also revealed it was dropping Teslas from its fleet.
However, Sixt would continue to retain the Chinese BYD EVs, as theyāre cheaper to maintain.
2/ Dodge Charger Daytona Spied
Expected to launch something this year, the Charger EV will come with 3 powertrains, with the most powerful variant rumored to be faster than a Hellcat.
An ICE version is also in the works.
Till we have more details, here are some spy images.
3/ How do you put an EV fire to sleep?
By covering it with a blanket, duuuh!
This specialized blanket costs anywhere between $3,000 and $5,000.
EV fires are a little complicated - even after using a traditional fire extinguisher, they can continue to burn thanks to the chemicals present.
This is where the special blanket comes into play.
Hereās a video of it being put to use after a Jaguar i-Pace caught fire while charging in a garage.
4/ Tesla fooled us, again!
Do you remember seeing that video of a Cybertruck towing a Porsche 911 vs another 911?
Was a cool marketing stunt to show the acceleration of the Tesla.
Engineering genius Jason Fenske from āEngineering Explainedā broke down the science behind it.
Itās fascinating!
