Resurrecting a
Mud-submerged Porsche

Restoring a water-damaged car is not easy. You’ve probably seen a YouTubers attempt such restoration projects.

But this one goes a step further.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS

The victim of a flood in Slovenia (above) was submerged under thick mud for 3 days.

It was sold off as scrap, but one daring enthusiast bought it as a restoration project.

Luckily, the body was protected by PPF and could be cleaned up.

The same can’t be said about the interior.

Plus there are the mechanical & electrical bits to be taken care of.

Props to buyer and for documenting the journey on Instagram🫡

What do a Corvette & a Drill Have in Common?

A V8 engine of course!

This guy used a Toyan model V8 engine to power an old cordless drill.

It works splendidly, and it’s also way cooler than any other drill to ever exist.

It sounds like a mini V8 too…

The American Ute:
A Chrysler 300 Pickup Conversion

Ute (pronounced yoot) is a term used in Australia and New Zealand to describe a utility/pickup truck.

Smyth Kit Cars chopped up the back end of a Chrysler 300 and fit a custom-fabbed pickup bed.

Who says being practical can’t be fun too?

If the Chrysler isn’t for you, they’ve done a conversion on a Dodge Charger as well.

Wining Free Burgers
for Car Spotting?

Simple!

Spot McDonald’s Burgercuda mascot car.

Need some clues finding it?

The 1970 Plymouth Barracuda-based car has sesame seed bun hubcaps, stripey seats, and a burger warmer under the armrest.

The fast food company unveiled its new mascot car, and they’re offering free burgers for an entire year if you spot one.

Scan the QR code displayed on the rear quarter panel and get an “Arch Card” which will give you a complimentary burger and enter you into a sweepstakes for a chance to win free McDonald’s burgers for a year.

Get spotting soon because this genius marketing stunt ends on February 25.

🍿Fails🍿

1/ Driver confuses gas & brake pedal, ends up in a river

What’s that saying again…When in doubt go flat out?

That works on a racetrack - BUT NOT IF THERE’S A RIVER AHEAD OF YOU!

This Tesla driver was rescued after mistakenly pressing the gas pedal while assuming the car was still in Park mode.

2/ Is it a Mustang? No, it’s a Supra!

The stereotype is here to stay folks.

Even if it’s a Toyota Supra doing the crashing.

This one lost control after the driver floored it while trying to merge onto the freeway.

Ouch!

3/ “It’s not my fault the truck don’t surf”

Those are the exact words the driver of this truck told the police after getting caught ‘surfing the waves’ on a closed off beach.

⚡️EV⚡️

1/ Tesla introduces Model 3 Kitchen Edition?

Not really.

But a woman went viral for turning her Model 3 into a kitchen, complete with a portable 2-in-1 electric hot pot and grill.

She calls her videos “Muskmobile Cooking Series”, making everything from Korean corndogs to Indian curries (I’d be careful with that white interior though 🤣).

2/ How many cars did Tesla sell in South Korea?

Any guesses?

JUST ONE!

In 2023, Tesla was the country’s top imported EV maker.

In January 2024, it sold just one Model Y.

Why though?

  • Safety fears over battery fires

  • A lack of clarity on incentives

  • Charging woes

These have left a bad image of EVs in the minds of the public.

3/ How tough is the Cybertruck?

Unplugged Performance decided to beat the hell out of the Cybertruck in the Mojave desert, and something gave way.

Take a look at the picture and guess what could have broken.

Hint: It wasn’t a driveshaft or the suspension.

It was a bolt that broke.

Unplugged Performance later responded with this.

We completed two full days of hardcore driving and had a blast. At the end of day two we had a bolt give out on the Cybertruck.

We were going pretty nuts on the truck both days with no concerns whatsoever. As such we’re not concerned with this bolt. Repair is in progress and it is an opportunity for us to learn.

Pretty tough then!

4/ Apple Vision Pro during driving??

We all know that texting and driving is illegal.

But how about using the newly-released Apple Vision Pro??

See more about that on the news below, featuring the criminal guy committing this.
