Scrap or Store, 2 American beasts! ft DGD near you

Introducing the new format for Mondays

Hello my friends!đź‘‹

It is so good to finally write to you after 9hrs work behind the scenes.

We got a lot on our plate today!!

The roadmap 🛣️

  1. A fun car event is happening near you

  2. An introduction to Monday’s format

  3. Most clicked links from last week

  4. Memes

But first - I’m dedicated to writing THE BEST car newsletter for you.

So I created a short survey so I get to know you better.
(just click below)

1. A fun car-event near you!

Before you continue - Do you like classic cars??

If the answer is no - then skip this part.

If you do, then this should be of interest👇️

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive (DGD) is a charity event where classic car lovers drive around for a great cause.

And it’s happening this weekend!! (24th September, Sunday) ⌛️

Thousands of people participate each year in all parts of the world.

Portugal

Argentina

There are 200+ events so maybe there’s one near you?

If you want to participate or just watch classic cars, the button below will take you to the charity’s website👇️

Progress: 4500+ drivers have raised almost $250 000 which will be invested in vital research and programs for prostate cancer and men's mental health.

Aaaaand introducing - Monday’s format

2. Scrap or Store, the Engine-Swap faceoff

What it is?

  • I do a short writeup on 2 engine-swapped cars

  • They’ll both be from the same nationality (e.g. JDM)

  • Then you choose what happens (virtually):

    • 1 gets crushed

    • 1 gets added to our imaginary garage

Why did I choose it?

  • engine swaps are fun

  • I want to make this interactive

We’ll run this format for a few weeks.
If you don’t like it - we’ll scrap it (pun intended).

So today we have 2 American beasts 🇺🇸

1967 Ford Fairlane vs 1972 Plymouth Road Runner

1967 Ford Fairlane

  • Engine: 5.0L Coyote V8

  • Transmission: 3-speed auto

  • Horsepower: 2500bhp on 45psi of boost

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

1972 Plymouth Road Runner

  • Engine: 8.0 L Viper V10

  • Transmission: 6-speed manual

  • Horsepower: 650bhp

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Sooo let’s see what the votes are.

Remember the rules, imagine:

  • one has to get scrapped

  • one has to get stored

1967 Ford Fairlane

(option 1)

1972 Plymouth Road Runner

(option 2)
