Recreating a game in Real Life
In GranTurismo 7 you can place any car on offer in a semi-3D environment based on a real place.
Chris Rosales did exactly that!
One image is from the game, one from real life.
Can you guess which one is real?? š§
If youāre still confused, all the images at the bottom were taken in Gran Turismo.
Shocked? I was too! The graphics in the game are next-level. š¤Æ
All images are credited to Chris Rosales.
How many horsepower
does a horse have?
Have you ever asked yourself that question?
We havenāt but the guys at Donut Media did.
And the video is phenomenal!
Itās almost like a mini documentary! You can check it out HERE
And the answer is that one hourse has 5.7 horsepower š
The end of an era..
the last two Crown Vic Taxi Cabs
London had the Black Cab and New York had the iconic yellow Ford Crown Victoria.
Featured in countless movies and music videos, itās probably the first thing that pops into mind when thinking of a taxi.
However, in 2012, the Crown Vic was taken off the NYC Taxi approved vehicle list.
Letās meet the owners of the only two Crown Vics left in New York City, which combined, have covered over a million miles.
Owner 1 - Ravinder Sharma
Heās turning 65 in a few months and plans on carrying on driving his Crown Vic provided the TLC allows it.
āIf they donāt, I take my Social Security and retire.ā
Owner 2 - Haroon Abdullah
He, unfortunately, isnāt due for retirement anytime soon and needs to keep driving.
āIām behind on my bills. If they donāt allow me to drive this car, I wonāt make the income I need to buy a new car.ā
Decommissioning the Crown Vics feels like the end of an era for those who grew up seeing the iconic taxi cab.
Farewell, legends š
Top Gear legends bring
more sad news
Sorry to end this excerpt with more bad news but I couldnāt not share :|
The British legends Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have decided to stop filming Amazonās The Grand Tour.
āWeāre done. I have reviewed cars on TV since 1989. Thatās 34 years,ā the 63-year-old presenter told The Times. āAnd after next year, I wonāt be doing that anymore.ā
Well deserved retirement I guess.
I wonderā¦ Who will be in the next cohort of Automotive legendary presenters š¤

1/ Ram TRX falls off a cliff
This brand-new RAM fell off of Hurrah Pass in Moab, Utah, and dropped nearly 100 feet in a valley.

Whatās more impressive though is how the Trail Mater crew managed to recover the mangled vehicle.
2/ Innocent victim of a stolen car police chase
Police attempted to pull over the driver of a stolen Dodge Charger, who immediately fled.
Unfortunately, this resulted in a crash with an innocent motorist who lost a limb in thi accident.
The thief was apprehended.
3/ Fast & Furious Studio fined $1 Million
Stuntman Joe Watts fell 25 feet (8 meters) from a balcony and landed head-first on the concrete.
He broke his skull.

We wish Joe a speedy recovery!
4/ Influencer straps Rolls Royce on a Hummer for clicks
After a Russian influencer strapped an S-Class to the roof of a Toyota Land Cruiser, another influencer decided to outdo the crazy act by putting a Rolls Royce on top of a Hummer.

Weāre not sure if the Model Y was running on stock or off-road tires, but itās impressive regardless!
Now I wonder how the Cybertruck will performā¦š¤
More on that next week!
2/ Tesla Model S Plaid meets a worthy opponent
We have another EV vs. ICE battle for you.
A modded Porsche 911 Turbo S churning out 950 hp

spoiler: the Tesla wins
3/ 400 Ford dealers drop out of EV dealer program
3 weeks ago we covered an article that said the EV hype is slowly dying.
Weāre now learning that around 400 out of the 2000 dealers that joined Fordās EV dealer program in 2022 have backed out.
Why?
Because under the program, dealers were required to invest anywhere from $500k to $1.2 million to get their dealerships ready to sell EVs.
But with the slow sales, the investment isnāt viable.
Ford had already halted around $12 billion in EV spending and cut shifts at its EV plant in Michigan.
The future of Ford in the EV space is looking bleak.
4/ Tesla battery costs $19k
A 2015 Tesla model S with 163k miles had a reduced driving range (from 270 miles to 215).
The price of battery replacement - a whopping $19k or around 40% of the cost of the entire car!
The ownerās warranty had expired just 4 months prior to this :|
If youāre considering buying a Tesla, we would strongly recommend checking out his post here
